New Quiz: What’s Your Weather Personality?

What weather do you prefer?

Have you ever noticed that we all have different weather preferences? I would have thought that we could have sorted them out by now, considering the wide range of climates to choose from 😉 But of course, we all can’t live in our ideal weather zone, and as a result, someone’s perfect weather day can be another person’s weather nightmare.

I know that I have different preferences than those who live around me. Anytime I like the weather, most other people do not. I’m an out of place cooler weather person in a warm weather place. So when the weather is chilly and gray, I’ll often tell people how happy I am about the weather. And they usually think I’m crazy. (Of course, occasionally I meet someone who shares my weather preferences, and we can have an actual meaningful conversation about the weather!)

Over the years, my weather personality has changed quite a bit. I grew up in a pretty cold place, and that led me to think that I disliked cold weather. Well, after being around from cold weather a while, I’m not sure that’s the case. I actually miss it and also dislike very warm weather. I’m not sure if I should live somewhere temperate and mild, or somewhere with four not too extreme seasons.

What about you? Do you have a weather preference? Take my latest quiz to confirm it: What’s Your Weather Personality?

Quiz: The Snow Test

Winter in Prague with Snow Covered Rooftops
What do you think of snow?

I am updating this blog from a very cold and snowy place far away from home this morning. As I write this, I am watching the snow fall quietly and slowly across the city buildings. It has no chance of letting up anytime soon, and that’s fine with me. As someone who lives in a warm place, I treasure the rare snowy day that I get to enjoy elsewhere.

When I was younger, snow made me feel energized and alive. I used to run outside as soon as it was warm enough (I grew up in a very cold place) and go sledding. I loved snow days where I got the day off from school. Actually, I lived for them 🙂

As an adult, I find snow to be cozy and even focusing. I bundle up, get a warm drink, and get to work. I think that a light snow is perfect for writing, and I find that those days are the days when I get the most done. And if I ever need to take a break, there’s nothing more invigorating than going for a short walk in the snow. (Forget about shoveling though – I hate it!.)

If I could have my dreams come true, I’d love to have a little snowy mountain vacation house – for skiing, hot chocolate drinking, gazing out the window, and of course writing quizzes. I’d love to have a sweet little hideaway in Colorado or Switzerland or southern New Zealand. Maybe one day 🙂

Until then, I’ll take solace in one of my favorite quizzes: The Snow Test

Just taking The Snow Test brings me back to the happiest snowy days of my life, and I am hoping that it will do the same for you. What do you think of this quiz and your result? Comment below and let me know.
