Have you ever dreamed of visiting Australia? I think it seems like such an interesting country to visit, and I’d like to see more of it. I have only been to Sydney, but that was enough of a taste to make me want to go to every city. They seem cool and cultured but also very laid back. And I’d like to go to every Australian beach. And the outback 🙂
I think I had Australia on the brain this week because I’m really excited about a new movie coming out called Tracks. It is about a woman who travels across the outback by herself, and it looks so beautiful and compelling. But I’m not really an outdoors person, not that big of one… so I decided to focus on Australian cities instead with today’s quiz!
Want to know where you should begin your Australian journey? Take my latest quiz: What Australian City Are You? Let me know what you get as your result. Would you like to visit the city you got? Why or why not?
Today isn’t Friday, but I have five questions to answer anyway! Answer them below or link to your answers on your own blog 🙂
- Have you ever been to Australia? Where? If not, what’s the closest you’ve been?
- What would you like best about an Australian vacation?
- Would you prefer to be on the populated eastern coast with Sydney or the western unpopulated coast with Perth?
- Take the quiz: What Australian Animal Are You? What do you get?
- Also take What Australian Food Are You? What’s your result?
Do you like to eat local food when you travel? It’s one of my favorite things about going on vacation, and I love to try some new dishes each time I visit a place. Some cities have such amazing food that they would be worth visiting just for the dining alone 🙂
Ready for a foodie adventure? My latest quiz is all about food and travel: What City Should You Eat Your Way Through? Let me know what you get on this one!
Discussion: What city would you like to visit just for the food?
One of the things I like best about traveling is how each city has its own fashion style. In my opinion, fashion gives each city, region, and country a real sense of place. No matter what I think is chic and modern, just traveling a little ways will change my conception of what’s in style. LA is fun, summery, and a little bit rocker. Paris is chic, timeless, and effortless. New York City is daring but classic and put together. My city, Austin, is casual, colorful, vintage, and quite bohemian.
Have you noticed that different cities have different fashion vibes? For this reason, I think it’s so fun to go shopping when I travel. It’s the best way to make sure I’ve got a few items in my closet that no one else in my home city has. If I won the lottery, I would love to travel the world shopping in little boutiques and flea markets. Since I haven’t won the lottery, I’ll do the next best thing and write quizzes 🙂
I feel like I simply fit in better in some cities than others. Have you ever felt this way too? I’ve had the experience of landing in a new city and feeling like I was dressed like an alien! My laid back vibe does well in Austin, but I also love the preppy, dressed up look of New England. And I always will wish that I could dress like (and live like) a Parisian. What about you? Take my newest quiz, What’s Your Fashion City? You never know… this quiz might inspire you to travel. Or at least shop!

Do you live in a big city? Or at least visit one on a regular basis? I live in the middle of a pretty big city, and while that has some drawbacks, it can be a lot of fun. And one of the things I love most about being in a big city is enjoying all the people watching opportunities. There’s such a variety of people and personalities on display in a big city – it’s just fun to sit on my porch and watch the world go by.
Some city people are always on the go, trying to reach the top as quickly as possible. Other city people are really urbanites, enjoying every single experience the city has to offer. Some city people are intellectuals, looking for all the brainy and cultural events a city has to offer. And some city people are homebodies, content to know that they are surrounded by a ton of people whirling around them. I don’t think any one kind of city dweller is better than the rest (though I myself tend to be more of a homebody). Variety is the spice of life… and of a city 🙂
Whether you live in the city or simply just visit it, you have a distinct city personality. And today’s quiz will tell you exactly what it is! Take my quiz What Kind of City Dweller Are You?, to learn all about your city dweller personality! Who knows? You may get inspired to live in the city or to at least visit one. Or you may figure out you belong in an entirely different city or neighborhood.
