What’s Your New Year’s Eve Style?

new year's eve girl

Happy New Year’s Eve eve! Are you excited for the big night? I’m a little excited to celebrate … out with the old and in with the new. I enjoy going out a little on the town here in Austin, and that usually involves a show and seeing some fireworks. I’m not the type to party hard at this point in my life though. I’m usually back home and in bed until midnight 🙂

One of my favorite things about New Year’s Eve is getting dressed up a little – even if it’s just wearing a goofy hat or slightly festive clothing. I love to check out the outfits that everyone else is wearing as well. At the theater show that I usually attend, people wear all sorts of outfits from Texas casual to super fancy. It’s fun to see what everyone considers their New Year’s best.

In my fantasy, I’d wear something totally fancy and glamorous for New Year’s Eve. However,  when I go to get dressed, I think about the cold and all the blocks I’ll be walking. So while it would be fun to opt for the ball gown, I tend to go a lot more casual with my New Year’s Eve wear. (Super duper casual if I happen to be staying home that year!) Hopefully I make it to casual chic, but I’m not even sure of that!

Your New Year’s Eve Style Is Casual

You love New Year’s Eve, but you keep it more low key than most folks. You think it’s the perfect night for staying home.
You’re content to snuggle up on the couch, eat yummy take out food, and watch tv waiting for the ball to drop.

Just because you’re staying at home, it doesn’t mean you’ll be rocking the yoga pants all night. You’ll at least put on something sparkly.
And since you’re staying home, you can break out the crazy hats, sparklers, and horns. You have no problem with a party of one!
