Have you heard about Celtic astrology? I don’t know too much about it (just enough to write a quiz), but it seems pretty cool to me. It’s an old astrological system based on what tree you were born under season wise. I hear that this is how the Celtic people used to keep the time of the year, and that makes sense to me, given how verdant Ireland is. It seems like there were many trees cycling throughout the year.
I don’t know how much stock you want to put in to Celtic astrology. I think it’s a fun alternative (or complement) to regular Western astrology – and the version I wrote, has over 20 outcomes! And since it’s an Irish holiday weekend, I figured it would be appropriate to feature on the blog – especially for those of us who don’t necessarily want all St. Patrick’s Day all the time 😉
Take What’s Your Celtic Horoscope? and see how true it is for you. All you need to complete this quick quiz is your birthday. I’m curious to know what all our regular – and irregular – readers get. (Do note that there is a lot of conflicting information about Celtic trees and birthdates online. I did a lot of research and tried to pick which seemed standard, but you may read differently elsewhere. Sorry about that. This isn’t a science – just for fun!)
Discussion topics (Comment below and let me know any or all of these):
- What do you get on What’s Your Celtic Horoscope?
Is it true for you?
- Do you have a particular type of tree that you love or feel a connection to?
- Does your Celtic horoscope sound at all like your star sign? Or rising sign? Do you think this is an interesting complement to Western astrology … or does it contradict what you’ve been told elsewhere.
