I Hate Being a Morning Person!

Are you a morning person or a night person?

Good morning! Up waaaaay too early this morning, and I don’t like it. I am a morning person, but not this much of one 🙂 In my ideal life, I’d be sleeping in until 8:30 or 9AM. I have the irksome problem of being both a morning and a night person these days. This means it’s hard for me to fall asleep, but no matter how late I stay up, I’m awake at dawn. So yes, I’m a morning person, but a begrudging one until I’ve had a couple cups of tea.

So, I have a theory that most Blogthings people are morning people. Is it true? I notice that there is a lot more activity going on in the afternoons and evenings around here. Or maybe we’re all morning people who have super productive mornings and then take quizzes in the afternoon 🙂

I see a lot of benefits to being a morning or a night person, depending on what your style is. I’ve heard that night people are more creative than morning people and that this is especially true as the night goes on. I think late night creative sessions are awesome! On the other hand, morning people are known for being extremely productive. There’s something to be said for getting up early and knocking a bunch of tasks out. Then you can spend the rest of your day basking in your accomplishments.

What about you? Are you a morning or night person? Take my quiz, Are You a Morning Person or Night Person?, and comment below! I’d like to know how accurate you think your result is. Are you a morning or night person? Do you wish you were different? What are the benefits to each, in your opinion?

You Are an Afternoon Person

You can find energy any time of the day … or night!
You prefer to be out and about when most other people are.
Very early mornings or very late nights aren’t really your thing.
You’re practically solar powered, and the afternoon is when do best.

This is true, but I’m not exactly social.

You Are a Morning Person

You’re optimistic, alert, and full of energy to start the day.
While you would love to party all night, you rather be up at the crack of dawn.
You don’t procrastinate or spend time worry about what to do next.
You take life by the reigns, and you like to have an early start.

What do you think?
