There’s nothing I love better than an old fashioned burger place! Yum. I love burgers of all sorts, but there’s something really special about a burger place that’s been around since the 1950s or 1960s. We have such a place in Austin, and it’s awesome. It’s called Top Notch, and if you’ve ever seen the movie Dazed and Confused, it’s the exact spot that Matthew McConaughey pulls up and asks the redhed girl to the party. And believe it or not, I love to go there. Their food is amazing, and my dog loves to ride along in hopes of getting a french fry.
Are you a burger fan? I love a good veggie burger. I know you meat eaters will say it’s not as good as the real thing, but I’ve very satisfied by a perfectly cooked veggie burger in a fluffy bun with just the right amount of condiments. Add some fries and a soda, and I’m very content.
Have you ever thought about how someone’s burger says a lot about them? I have. I’m the type of person who loves to pile here burger high with everything. Ketchup, mustard, pickles, onion, tomato, onion, cheese… and for a Texas twist, jalapenos and guacamole. There’s pretty much no way I can hide what a glutton I am after giving that description. Mr. Blogthings is the exact opposite of me. He’s perfectly satisfied with simply cheese and ketchup. I suppose this points to him valuing quality over quantity, which is very true.
