These are tough times. The holidays are already stressful enough, but a bad economy makes them much harder. It seems to me that everyone is a little stretched right now. If you feel stressed, don’t beat yourself up about it. Just know that a lot of us are stressed right now, and a lot of us are helping each other through it.
This is the moment that it’s important to put yourself first. I know what you’re thinking, “Sounds good, but impossible to do.” It might not be as difficult as you think. Putting yourself first just means that you take a little more time for self-care, rest, and reflection. It may seem counterintuitive, but when we take good care of ourselves we are better able to take care of others and do what needs to be done in life.

You are well prepared to deal with any stress that comes your way. Keep up the good work – you understand the importance of self-care and practice it regularly.
If you’re not putting yourself first, may I suggest that you try a few little things to pamper yourself? Maybe just quick a nap or a quiet moment outside would do the trick. After all, you are important.!You need to be taken care of, even if you are taking care of everyone else. And no matter what, don’t feel bad that you haven’t been putting yourself first right now. Today is a new day, and you can almost certainly find a minute or two for self-care.
