New Quiz: Are You an iPhone or an iPad?

Are you more of a tablet or smartphone user?

I’ve been noticing recently that there are two types of tech toy people – iPhone people and iPad people. (Or if you’d like, smartphone people and tablet people.) I fall firmly in the second camp. I have a smartphone, but I don’t use it all that much. In fact, I often let the battery drain down, and I’m infamous for missing calls and texts. My tablet, on the other hand, is always with me. If I’m not working on Blogthings, I can often be found surfing the web on my tablet.

Very few of my friends are also tablet people, and by observing them, I’ve definitely noticed the personality differences between tablet people and smartphone people. Tablet people like myself seem to be quieter, more into being a homebody, plodding, literary… Smartphone people tend to be more outgoing and on the go. They are creative in their own way, but they tend to be more music and photography types.

These differences make sense to me as one device is portable and one is less so. Plus, smartphones all have built in internet, while a lot of tablets only use wifi. So if you want to be out and about taking photos of your friends, an iPhone makes sense. But if you’re more like me – the lounge around the house reading a book type – you might prefer an iPad.

What about you? Are You an iPhone or an iPad? Take my latest quiz to find out what suits you better. And if you’re not an Apple fan, no worries – just consider this a quiz about tablets vs smartphones.

    “You Are an iPad”
I actually don’t like tablets. How do you type on those things? I tend to bring my laptop when I’m out and about. Not that into smartphones either; I have a basic one that I just use for talking and texting.

“You are tech savvy and probably even a little addicted to the internet. You spend a good amount of time online.
You’re the type of person who would like to have the internet with you wherever you go, and you don’t want to compromise browsing experience.”

Maybe just a little bit addicted 🙂
Haha yes, just plug it into my brain!

“You are a bit of an introvert. You like the internet for its brainier nature, and you may contribute in your own way.”

Brainier nature… If you say so, BT 🙂

“You likely fancy yourself a writer or producer of some sort. You are driven to create and leave your mark online.”

I do like writing. I’m writing now 😛 I mostly like writing code; it does stuff when you’re finished! :]

“Like most iPad users, you probably think an iPhone is great – but you need a device with more screen space and features.”

I do think it’s a good phone, but I never really understood the fanaticism behind Apple products.

“And since you’re a bit of a homebody, you don’t mind luggin your iPad around with you. You’re probably just going from room to room.”

Oh, BT just loves to take the mic out of me, don’t you?

I have to admit that I’m mostly a laptop person too! Like you, I write a lot, so I just have a small one I can take around with me. I do have a tablet, but I use it for off time – when I really should be reading instead 😉

My result is Ipad and the description sounds right! But in reality, im enjoying the convenience that my iphone offers so much! I do not think that I would want to buy an ipad or anything similar. Maybe I could be both :).

Comment: I do lots of research on the Internet, also get news & info from there, and love to write. Not owning an Ipad, though. I seldom surf the Internet or chat from the cellphone. My preference on the go is either listening to music or interviews/debates. I assume this result is trying to say that I’m kind of torn in different directions and totally unlogical.

I love listening to things like that on my phone as well, at least when I’m in cities with good public transportation 🙂
