New Quiz: The Sofa Test

What does your sofa say about you?

I don’t know about you, but anytime I go to a huge furniture store, I’m overwhelmed by the number of options. Have you ever seen how many sofas there are at a place like IKEA? They have dozens of sofas to choose from, and it’s hard to take them all in at once. Crazy. And the even crazier thing is that with all the options, I often still can’t find a sofa I like.  It took Mr. Blogthings and I ages to find sofas we loved years ago, and I’m hoping they never wear out!

Sometimes when I see all the sofas that are available, I wonder who would ever buy some of them. Some really aren’t my style at all, and of course, it gets me thinking about the different type of sofa personalities. Big vs small, modern vs traditional, comfortable vs stylish… So many decisions wrapped up in one little furniture purchase. I tend to go for big and comfy, a little stylish if I can manage it. I really want to be one of those modern sofa buyers, but I can’t ever imagine sitting on one.

What about you? Do you agree that certain personalities may like certain types of sofas? Take The Sofa Test to learn what your ideal sofa says about you. I enjoyed writing this image quiz, dreaming up what each person who selected a particular was like. I hope you have as much fun taking it!

    You Are Quiet

You are the silent type, but that doesn’t mean you’re not engaged. You are always listening.
You just feel less social than most people, and you’re okay with that. You don’t push yourself into being something you’re not.

Your style is very personal and even a bit plain to the outside eye. You don’t need to have showy things.
Each object you own is beloved and special. You tend to own things for their comfort or nostalgia value.

You find alone time comforting. You don’t feel quite like yourself unless you are able to retreat.
You have created your own world and safe space. You are at peace every time you come back to it.

    You Are Idealistic
    (my second answer)

You have a very clear idea of how you want to live your life, and you do your best to live it that way.
You are a perfectionist, and you have high standards. You believe anything worth doing is worth doing right.

Your style is minimalist and clean. You can’t stand having clutter of any sort in your home.
Instead of packing your house full of stuff, you have a few quality items that speak to you. And you keep them forever.

You find simplicity comforting. You believe that most people over-complicate life, and you try to avoid that.
Whenever possible, you choose the simplest path, even if you may be missing out. You don’t like chaos or messiness.

    You Are Intense
    (I got this answer first)

You have a very strong personality. People may love you or hate you… but they’re rarely indifferent to you.
You aren’t afraid to live life on your terms, even if they are unpopular. You believe that you have the right to be you.

Your style is bold and even a bit over the top. You like statement pieces that are eye catching, and you like a lot of them.
Your personal space may overwhelm people a bit, but once they look around, they fall in love with what they see.

You find independence comforting. You are the type of person who needs to be able to make up your own rules.
You prefer to depend on yourself and not on others. You can be sure you won’t let yourself down.

I think my first answer would be more correct, either way, Kari, I super love your quizzes and this blog (everyone is sooo nice). I loved ALL the couches but I loved the two especially.

P.S. Listening to upbeat songs while writing this comment 🙂

I am minimalist. I also like to be clean and tidy, so hate disorder. I just feel more peaceful in clean surroundings – it’s like you can think more clearly. These things are not so easy to maintain when you have a lovely, but very messy husband like mine. You need a lot of patience! His sister does tell me i have worked wonders on him, though!

Haha! I’m probably more like your husband. I want to be a minimalist, but I’m having trouble getting there. You sound like a good influence on him 🙂
