Friday Five: Home Sweet Home Edition

Answer below to win a free Glade Expressions kit and a $10 Amazon gift card

Happy Friday, y’all! I’m excited to have two prizes to give away to a lucky winner this week – a free Glade Expressions starter kit and refill (I got it from BzzAgent), and an Amazon $10 gift certificate – which you can spend on anything, including more nice smelling Glade stuff for your home if you wish. I’m excited about this giveaway since I love scents for my home, and the Glade ones are some of my favorites. I’ve tried this new Expressions line, and I like it – the scents are unique and non-overwhelming.

The Amazon gift code is courtesy of Swagbucks, and I know it’s an old favorite for a Friday Five prize. If you want more free git cards, consider joining SwagbucksSwagbucks is an entertaining and easy place to earn free gift cards that I am obsessed with. If you love free gift cards, I highly recommend checking them out if you live in Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK, or the US. I earn gift cards to give away by watching music videos while I write quizzes 🙂

All you have to do to enter is comment below and answer the Friday Five. I will run a random number generator on Monday morning and pick the winners that way. I will comment on the thread to the people who won, so you can check back to see who won that way. If you miss it, I will announce the winner on Facebook and also next week in the P.S.

So, here are the Friday Five questions for this week. Simply answer below in a comment to enter :-)

5.Your Home Says That You Feel Settled and Calm

You don’t come across as very intellectual or serious. You seem like a bit of a goofball.

Your hygiene is passable, but you may be hiding some dirty secrets.

You are a fairly domestic person. You can probably make a decent batch of home cooked cookies.

You are not a nurturing person by nature, but you can easily take care of someone you truly love.

You feel settled in your life. You have enough time to focus on little details.

You are a somewhat self sufficient person. You can do fine on your own if you have to.

Your friends see you as accommodating, peaceful, and forgiving.

    1. The fact that it’s just the right size for us– not too big, not too small 🙂
    2. I actually don’t have one. When I want some quiet time to read, I go wherever it’s empty and wherever strikes me mood at the time. Could be my bedroom, could be the den, could be a chaise in the living room, or even the dining table!
    3. Clean it! 🙂
    4. Love apple scents, so I’d probably pick the apple, though I haven’t the faintest idea of what cardamom smells like.. ?
    5. “Your Home Says That You Feel Settled and Calm”. I agree about the hygiene, non-nurturing, and self-sufficient descriptions. I do NOT agree with the “domestic” assertion, however. There’s a reason I married a man who cooks 😉

I love doing the boiled water with a little something in it to make things smell lovely. Orange peel is nice… I also sometimes do a cinnamon stick 🙂

What’s the coziest thing about your home?
All the bookcases full of books everywhere!

What room is your personal sanctuary?
    My bedroom, definitely.

What do you do to make your home smell nice?
Open the bedroom windows every single morning, no matter what the weather, for at least half an hour, to let them air out. Keeps everything fresh.

Which of the Glade Expressions scents I’m giving away would you most like for your home? Cotton & Italian Mandarin, Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice, Lavender & Juniper Berry, or Pineapple & Mangosteen?
Mmmmm…I think Cotton and Italian Mandarin, it sounds like the cleanest, most homey scent.

I got “settled and calm”, and while I don’t know if the title is accurate for me, it’s certainly how I want my home to feel! And most of the description fits. 🙂

I love to air out my place as well. Fresh air does amazing things for one’s environment, and I think it makes me feel livelier.
