New Quiz: What Should You Keep Calm And Do?

Keep Calm and Carry On poster scan

Keep Calm And…? You fill in the blank!

Have you ever heard the phrase “Keep Calm and Carry On”? It was featured on a propaganda poster in Britain during World War II with the purpose of giving people hope after being under air raid attacks. The poster was forgotten about for years but has been recently rediscovered and reissued. People around the world consider “Keep Calm and Carry On” to be an inspiring and cheeky motto during these tough economic times, and there are now many variations on the theme.

I have felt very inspired by the Keep Calm movement myself, because I think that it’s something I need to work on. I have poor stress management skills, and I’m easily overwhelmed. If I can remember to Keep Calm and do whatever I need to do, it makes my life more productive and happier. Maybe I need a Keep Calm and Write Quizzes poster in my office πŸ™‚

I’m not surprised that the world (including myself) has latched on to the Keep Calm mottos lately. I feel like things aren’t great for a lot of us economically, and it’s sometimes hard to keep going with the daily grind. I love the feeling that we’re all working on improving the world and our lives together in small ways. Many of you on this blog inspire me with your stories of going back to school, working hard, following your dreams, Β and / or raising a family πŸ™‚

Recently I came across a collection of these Keep Calm variation images by an independent artist, and I knew that I had to theme a quiz around it. I figure we could all use a little reminder to Keep Calm during tough times, and I thought it would be fun to write a quiz that includes what else you’re supposed to do. Here it is: What Should You Keep Calm and Do?

Take What Should You Keep Calm and Do?Β and let me know what you get. Does it sound about right to you? How do you dig deep when times are tough?

What do you think?

I got You Should Keep Calm and Carry Om πŸ™‚

When times are tough, I do tend to be more reflective and contemplative…

Others often said I withdraw into myself…..

You Should Keep Calm and Carry Om

No matter how bad things get, you try to keep balanced, tranquil, and together.
You believe that having the right headspace is crucial. If you’re head isn’t in the game, you can’t make a play.

You think the world would be a better place if we reflected more and reacted less. Not every action deserves a reaction.
You would love to see a more contemplative planet, and you’re doing your part by promoting thoughtfulness in yourself and others.

So when times get tough, lean into yourself even more. You know what to do to stay grounded and sane.
And keep spreading the om (lifeforce and sacredness) on to those around you. You are much more influential than you realize.

You Should Keep Calm and Travel On

No matter how bad things get, you feel like you can always benefit from broadening your perspective.
Seeing the world improves your gratitude and understanding. You can only improve your own community from stepping away and seeing it with fresh eyes.

You think the world would be a better place if we all knew and understood each other a bit better. You’d like to see cultural divides bridged.
You firmly believe that we are all interconnected. And that we’d all benefit from acknowledging and strengthening those connections.

So when times get tough, allow yourself to wander and explore a little. You don’t have to go far to travel.
You can even travel in your own town, if you’re willing to see it through new eyes. It’s important to keep that spirit of adventure.

Comment: absolutely LOVE this quiz – one of the best ever. A quiz built on wisdom, philosophy, values and one’s place in the world. As a bonus, the designed T-shirt “Keep Calm And…”! πŸ™‚

I was torn on some questions and could both be Travel On, Rock On and Carry Om, but I settled for Travel On as I believe it comes closest.

When times are tough, I love taking a slow walk in the forest, sipping tea, looking at animal photos, listen to calm music or simply just breathe deeply. Sometimes a fun or charming Youtube clip will do as well.

I love your ideas for keeping calm I think there are many studies that confirm that spending time in nature or with animals is very good for us, so your intuition is dead on there πŸ™‚ I’m glad you can appreciate the topic of this quiz!
