Quiz: What’s Your Valentine’s Day Personality?

How do you feel about Valentine’s Day?

Okay, who here really, really loves Valentine’s Day? *crickets* What? No one?

It’s so surprising to me that Valentine’s Day is still a big deal because I don’t know anyone who truly loves it. I know many people who hate Valentine’s Day. I know some people who tolerate it, and I know some people who like certain aspects of it. Anyone I know who celebrates it celebrates it semi-begrudgingly, and that includes women. So what gives?

I’m not sure how such an unpopular holiday remains popular, but count me in as one of the ambivalent, “meh,” Valentine’s Day people. It’s never been a romantic holiday for me, and if anything it’s been a bit of a disappointment. Mr. Blogthings and I don’t really celebrate it with each other, as we prefer to demonstrate our love in little ways every day instead. I find by not making a big deal out of Valentine’s Day, I can appreciate it a bit more… at least for its traditional, cultural, or pagan aspects.

Despite not really thinking Valentine’s Day is a romantic holiday, I do think it can be a fun holiday if you strip away the expectations and drama. It was always a day for candy and cards when I was growing up. And I like to think of the people who touch my life as all my valentines. So of  course, that includes everyone who follows this blog and takes my quizzes. I hope your day tomorrow is filled with treats and smiles, whether you decide to spend it with someone special or not.

So, in the spirit of loving, hating, or feeling mixed about Valentine’s Day, I present one of my favorite quizzes on the topic: What’s Your Valentine’s Day Personality? This quiz will predict what you love or hate about this controversial holiday.

Take What’s Your Valentine’s Day Personality? and let me know what you get. Is it true? How do you feel about Valentine’s Day? I’d especially like to hear from all of you who have strong feelings on the matter 🙂

I’ve broken the streak of practicality. Sorry y’all…but I’m not sorry. I am a “Romantic” Valentine’s Day personality, and I agree. I get way too excited when my man shows up at my door with flowers. I bake cookies. I make cards. And I think all day about what I’m going to wear out to dinner with him. Yeah…I get a little overboard…and yeah, it’s super cheesy. But I have a good time.

Your Valentine’s Day Personality is Practical

As far as you’re concerned, Valentine’s Day is simply a commercial holiday.
You don’t place any real meaning on it. You don’t think it deserves too much celebration.

For you, Valentine’s Day is just the day you avoid restaurants and candy stores.
If you love someone, you already show it. You don’t need to go all out for a silly holiday to prove your love.
