Quiz: What New Year’s Resolution Should You Make?

2013

2013 in celebratory letters

Awwww…. yeah! Happy 2013!!! Who’s excited that we’re finally here? I know I am. The world didn’t end, and I’m ready to kick butt in 2013 😉

As I mentioned before, I am not really one for specific new year’s resolutions. And from what everyone else reading this blog says, they agree. I personally feel like resolutions are too inflexible and set me up for failure. Do you agree? I do like to set the tone for each year, as I feel it to at least be helpful for getting back to work once the holidays are over 🙂

So for me, I feel like 2013 is going to be a year of doing a good amount of work (Blogthings!), fixing up the house, saving money, deepening friendships, and eating more fruits and veggies. No resolutions, but I know what I’m working on and prioritizing. Are you the same way?

For me, the quiz What New Year’s Resolution Should You Make? is still useful. It actually reminds me what may be missing in my 2013 plans (travel!) and helps me find some balance. (In previous years I got that I should reduce stress, which was true at the time.) I’m the type of person who would work all the time if I could. Luckily I have a result like this to remind me of the bigger picture and balance. I love to work, but I have to remember why I do it… to produce, create, have fun, and live my life to the fullest.

Take What New Year’s Resolution Should You Make?, and let me know what you get. Even if you don’t resolve to do whatever your result says, I’m curious to know how spot on it is for you. What do you think 2013 has in store for you? What little tweak could you make to improve your life?

What do you think?

You Should Resolve to Get Fit

You know you should love your body at any state, but you think you’d be happier if you were a little fitter.
Your body will thank you, as well as your jeans! It doesn’t take a lot of exercise to make a difference.

You don’t have to commit to a crazy fitness goal – just try to get moving and see how it feels.
If possible, try to find a workout buddy. It’s hard to exercise without support, and a friend makes it a lot more fun.

hahahahah thats why I never make New Year Resolutions

You Should Resolve to Take a Trip

Your life just isn’t as exciting as you’d like it to be. You really need to shake things up.
And there’s no easier way to have an adventure than to actually go on one. You need to get out of town.

You don’t have to commit to a round the world trip – just figure in a trip that’s within your budget and schedule.
Even a weekend away can do wonders for the soul, especially if it’s to a place you’ve never been to before!

Yes I should, as long as it’s not out in the country.

I’m with you there. Trips out in the country aren’t usually my thing. What would be your dream vacation if you could go anywhere?

Visiting a bustling metropolis, for the sights, museums, art galleries, shops, parks, and restaurants (that makes up almost everything).
