New Quiz: What’s Your Holiday Style?

How do you rock the holidays?

Wow! I can feel it in the air, the holidays are upon us. I hope your holiday season has been fun filled and joyous so far. Mine has – I have really enjoyed shopping for presents, buying a few decorations, and getting lots of treats for stockings. Later on, I think I will treat myself to some holiday movies (looking forward to rewatching Love Actually and Scrooged), as well as a marathon cookie baking / frosting session! I really live for a quiet holiday at home. Too much travel or fuss tends to stress me out 🙂

Isn’t it cool how we each celebrate the holidays differently? We all have our unique holiday style. Some of us like to do the whole holiday party thing, while some of us enjoy a little extra nesting this time of year. (Pretty sure we all like getting presents though!) Thinking about our differing holiday types inspired me to write a quiz about it: What’s Your Holiday Style? I love to hear how other people celebrate and what brings them meaning this time of year. It’s so great how we all find our all special meaning this time of year.

Are you more of a glam celebrator? Or a laid back homebody? Your holiday style is more than what you wear for the holidays (although that’s a part of it…I’m looking at you, Christmas sweater fans!). It’s a reflection of who you are.  So take the quiz to find out: What’s Your Holiday Style?

Comment below and let me know what your holiday style is. Also, I’d love to know what little thing you are doing this year to make the holidays special. It can be as simple as having a little extra hot chocolate or as elaborate as a big family project. All that matters is that it’s special for you!

What do you think?

Your Holiday Style is Laid Back

You aren’t one for making a lot of fuss during the holidays. You prefer to keep things low stress.
It’s more your style to have everyone over for hot chocolate and holiday songs than to get all dolled up for a party.

You like a little hussle and bussle, but when the day is done, you would rather snuggle by the fire.
You are more about cozy holiday sweaters and boots than formal wear. And you’d never make it through this season without your favorite scarf!

Thank you for mentioning Scrooged; there are a ton of Holiday Movie lists online, but it hardly ever gets any recognition over sappy favorites like A Christmas Story and Frosty! I like the more irreverent films during the holiday season (Bad Santa, Trading Places etc.), and am having fun recording as many as I can this season. I got DISH’s Hopper HD DVR, and with over 2,000 hours of storage I will be all set for YEARS! I work late at DISH, so I set PrimeTime Anytime, which records every primetime show from all four major networks. This, and ABC Family’s ’25 Days of Christmas’ get the kids all the movies THEY want, and I can still record one more show at the same time, for me!

Ha! I totally agree that the irreverent films can be so fun. I grew up on Christmas vacation 🙂

Mad props for your DVR / recording set up. I can definitely appreciate a little TV geekery! Enjoy your watching party.

My style was Unique. It is funny since I always thought I was a classic christmas person. I guess it was because I love foreign travel so they got me there. I would still rather spend the holidays at home with family I just though that was the most fun option
